Callow Hall hotel, Mappleton, Derbyshire

Christie Finance arranged funding for the purchase of Callow Hall, a former von Essen Hotel, by a private buyer. The 16-bedroom, Grade II Listed, country house hotel is set in 33 acres of private gardens, situated at the gateway to the stunning Peak District National Park. The multi-award-winning hotel was built in the mid-19th Century and contains many Jacobean architectural features.

The Steamboat Tavern, Ipswich

Christie Finance secured the funding for the acquisition of the freehold interest of The Steamboat Tavern by experienced operator Valerie Bint, the leaseholder who has transformed the pub into a highly successful business, with an enviable reputation as a live music venue.

Victoria Inn, Gloucestershire

Despite the preconception that banks are not lending on pubs, Christie Finance secured finance for the purchase of the closed Victoria Inn in Eastington near Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, by Mrs Sainty. By presenting opportunities in the correct fashion, the banks will support lending in the public house sector.

MY Care Group

Christie Finance facilitated the expansion of MY Care Group by ‘gearing up’ on four of its existing care homes and providing additional funding to purchase a further three. Christie Finance arranged multi-million pound facilities and instructed Pinders to provide business appraisal advice and valuations of all seven units. Christie + Co sold the additional three units to MY Care Group and Christie Insurance provided competitive insurance quotations for all seven care homes.
 

Atholl Arms Hotel, Dunkeld, Perthshire

Christie Finance organised the funding to enable Mr and Mrs Sinclair to buy the high-profile 17-bedroom Atholl Arms Hotel in the tourist town of Dunkeld. The Sinclairs are both Scottish, but have lived in the United States for the last 26 years.

Cream Care Ltd

Christie Finance secured a highly-competitive, bespoke funding package for Cream Care Ltd, which operates three specialist homes in and around Taunton and Torquay. In addition to refinancing its existing funding, Christie Finance also obtained funding for the company to acquire a development site, which will become Cream Care’s fourth home.

Victoria Lodge, Worthing

Christie Finance provided a finance package to enable first-time care operators from London, the Patel family, to buy Victoria Lodge residential care home in Worthing, East Sussex. The 23-bed home is rated 2-Star (Good) by CQC and is run with a registered manager and staff.

Pendle Hotel, Chatburn

The closed Pendle Hotel in Chatburn, in the Ribble Valley, occupies a large site and has four en suite letting bedrooms, a car park, beer garden and children’s play area. Christie Finance funded the purchase of the property by a local buyer, who intends to use the building for alternative use.

The Red Post Inn, Peasedown St John, Bath

Christie Finance secured funding from a major high street lender for the purchase of the popular wet-led community pub, The Red Post Inn at Peasedown St John, just outside Bath, by the existing leaseholders of the business, Mr Simon and Mrs Megan Sandall.

The Dew Drop, London E15

Christie Finance arranged finance for the acquisition of the Dew Drop closed public house within a week. Contracts had already been exchanged on the purchase, but a property sale had fallen through. Christie Finance's proposal was submitted to the bank on Monday and the purchase completed on Friday.

The Red Cow, Chrishall, Essex

Christie Finance secured funding from a high street lender for the purchase of The Red Cow by first-time buyers Alexis Beeching and Toby Didier’Serre. The idyllic, Grade II Listed, thatched pub includes a traditional bar with open fireplace, beams, a restaurant and beer garden.

Weston Hotel, Scarborough

Christie Finance funded the purchase of Scarborough’s Weston Hotel for first-time buyers, Tom and Pat Hendry from Cheshire. This substantial 36-bedroom hotel is located close to the town’s main amenities and features a residents’ lounge, lounge bar, dining room and function room.

The Five Bells at Rattlesden, Suffolk

The Five Bells public house is located in the centre of the village of Rattlesden, Suffolk. Christie Finance secured funding for its acquisition by Deborah Oliver, who had been the leaseholder for over 13 years before taking up the opportunity to acquire the business.

Anglers Inn, Guildtown, Perthshire

Christie Finance put together a bespoke funding package on very attractive terms to enable New Skyline Developments Limited, a company with considerable experience due to its previous involvement in Ballathie House Hotel in nearby Kinclaven, to purchase this popular and well-regarded gastro pub.

The Beaconsfield Arms in Occold, Suffolk, is set to reopen, thanks to Christie Finance

Christie First funded the purchase of the closed Beaconsfield Arms by Charles and Christine Appleton. They plan to refurbish the pub to create a more customer-friendly building and reopen, offering an ever-changing menu, Adnams’ and guest beers and wines by the glass.

Chequers Inn near Nottingham - the Fun Fair Brewery Company’s first pub purchase

Christie Finance funded the purchase of the Chequers Inn in the picturesque village of Elston, near Nottingham, by first-time buyers, the Fun Fair Brewery Company. The purchase will enable the small business to grow by creating a showpiece 10-barrel brewing plant.

Arlington House

Christie Finance provided refinancing on two learning disability homes in Brighton for a local couple who planned to expand their portfolio, and then introduced them to Arlington House, a residential care home in Hove. Christie Finance commissioned an independent valuation on Arlington House from Pinders and subsequently provided a further loan for its purchase. Christie + Co sold the business to the couple and was also asked by Christie Finance and Abbey to revalue the two original homes for loan security purposes. Christie Insurance provided business insurance for Arlington House and life assurance for its new owners.

Kings Head Theatre, Islington, London

Christie Finance enabled the UK’s first ever pub theatre to be acquired by the wife of its founder. The 120-seat theatre, located in the pub’s back room, has won numerous awards for its productions, many of which have transferred to the West End and Broadway.

Crown Point Inn near Sevenoaks, Kent

Christie Finance funded the purchase of the Crown Point Inn near Sevenoaks, Kent, by Quercus Partners Ltd, which has since leased the business to managed pub operator Orchid Group. The substantial character property features an open-plan bar and two dining rooms.

The Bell Inn, Clare, Suffolk

Christie Finance funded the leasehold purchase of this 16th Century inn by first-time buyer Mr Darren Humphries. The inn is located in the delightful old Suffolk wool town of Clare and has a bar/lounge area, two restaurant areas and 16 en suite letting bedrooms.

Caer Menai Guest House, Caernarfon, Gwynedd

Using its extensive contacts within the lending institutions, Christie Finance was able to provide funding for Mr and Mrs Dobson’s purchase of Caer Menai Guest House in North Wales, thereby enabling their exciting new start in the guest house/hotel sector.

Moorfield Group

Christie Finance assisted Moorfield Group in raising significant debt funding on three of the Shearings Hotels it owns in the North East. Having been approached by Moorfield – the real estate investor, developer and private equity fund manager – regarding its financing plans on these three investments, Christie Finance was able to assist in securing the necessary funds from a leading UK bank.

Double Finance deal

Christie Finance assisted Mr Baldev Bhathal, a buyer from Middlesex, with the purchase of two established stores located in Carshalton, Surrey. Loans were secured with two separate high street lenders to enable Mr Bhathal to buy the Costcutter and Londis businesses simultaneously.

Finance helps first-time buyers purchase Kylesku Hotel in Sutherland

Christie Finance helped first-time buyers Tanja Lister and Sonia Virechauveix finance their purchase of Kylesku Hotel on the shores of Loch Glendhu and Loch Glencoul in Sutherland. The historic coaching inn includes a bar, restaurant, lounge and eight letting bedrooms.

Tailor-made finance for Enzo’s Wine Bar & Brasseria

Christie Finance secured the funding required for Mr Tran, a tailor in London’s West End, to purchase Enzo’s Wine Bar & Brasseria in Woking, Surrey. The prominently situated town centre wine bar includes a first floor restaurant and terrace.

The Lion, Needham Market, Suffolk

Christie Finance secured 100% funding for the acquisition of The Lion public house in Needham Market, Suffolk, for Martin and Marisa Hookham. They had been the pub’s tenants for 23 years and had refurbished the premises to a high standard during this time.

Eyemouth General Store, Berwickshire
